When was the last time you listened to nature?
I was struck whilst sitting in my living room with the absence of TV or radio to hear the ticking of a clock, which sat on the mantlepiece. Nothing strange there, however I realised I hadn’t noticed it before. I had filtered it out by listening to other stronger sounds but it made me think of the sounds that are all around us. I was once with a client, walking along a riverbank and stopped to hear the birds and the flow of the river. “Isn’t that lovely”, I exclaimed. The client looked at me and said you are so lucky, I can’t hear anything, my mind is too busy.
